Winter Wishlist

Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of the year! I love chunky cardis, big stompy boots and wrapping up in 20 layers. This year I'm absolutely loving most of the trends; Tartan, boyfriend jackets and of course cut out boots. So my wishlist is never ending! Anyway, I've managed to narrow it down to my 5 favourite things.

Winter Wishlist

Shoes / Bag / Coat / Dress / Hat

1. Boohoo.com Chelsea Boot £25 -
I wasn't actually looking for any boots for this winter as I already have my Dr Martens and 2 pairs of black boots but when I came across these on Boohoo.com I knew I had to have them! They would look soooo nice with almost everything I own!

2. New Look Boyfriend Coat £39.99 -
This is a gorgeous dupe for the Topshop/Zara Boyfriend coats, I absolutely LOVE the colour of it!

3. Primark Pork Pie Hat £8 -
These were in Topshop a lot last year and I nearly bought one for around £20, but I'm so glad I didn't! I think these look so lovely for a night out just with a dress and a pair of  boots.

4. eBay Bag £21.99 -
I actually just bought a similar one to this today, I'll have to feature it in a OOTD post at some point. I really needed a bag big enough for all of my uni books but I also wanted it to look smart enough to wear it out if I wanted to. Like everyone else I LOVE the bags in Zara but just can't justify spending £50+ on one.

5. Primark Floral Dress £8 -
I'm pretty sure 99% of people own one of these so I suppose I don't need to say much about it. I'm going to go into primark Liverpool and pick it up at some point, it's just lovely!

What's on your winter wish list?

Top 6 summer lipsticks

Sorry it's been so long since I posted again, had a crazy busy week.  I had a job interview and induction all within a few days of eachother and had to go on a search for a uniform in the days between, which took forever as my body is oddly proportioned!  Anyway, I thought I'd just do an simple, quick  post today as the weather is still lovely outside and I'd really like to go out in it!

I've been really loving pink and sheer lipsticks this month and have managed to collect quite a few, but there have been some that I've worn more than others so I thought I'd share them with you lovely lot! I was originally planning on doing a 'Top 5' but I just couldn't choose between 2! They're in no order simply because they're all equally as lovely as each other.

1// Topshop Lipstick in Macaroon
2// Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy
3// Tony Moly Lipstick in Cat Red

The Topshop lipstick isn't available online any more (Sorry!) but I wanted to feature it anyway because they have some similar colours (e.g.) and also because it's actually a really great lipstick for the price. They cost £8 and although the staying power isn't GREAT, they are so pigmented and have really great colour choices!
Next is a Revlon Lip butter, I only bought this because I've heard bloggers raving about them and If I'm honest I'm not greatly impressed. These RRP at £7.99 but I only paid £3.99 for it because I got it in the boots buy one get one half price deal, which I think is fine but I'm not sure I'd pay full price for one. As you can see next to the Topshop lipstick it isn't very pigmented, however I'm not sure if this is just down to the shade I picked up. (Links to reviews of other colours would be greatly appreciated!)
And last but certainly not least is the Tony Moly Lipstick in Cat Red. I was actually sent this from a lovely lady in Germany and as I'm a self confessed crazy cat lady this is possibly the best thing I've ever been sent. So thank you again if you're reading! It goes on quite sheer, the swatch above is 3 coats so you could wear it really subtle or build it up for bold red lips. Staying power is great too it lasts nearly all day with the odd touch up after eating! I wish I'd discovered Tony Moly earlier!

 4// Revlon Lipstick in Carnation
5// Elf Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint in #D29 (Pink)
6// Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous

This is an old Revlon Lipstick that I picked up in a shop that sells end of line make-up so unfortunately I can't find it online to give you guys a link, sorry again! However it really is a lovely sheer pink colour, one of those 'your lips but better' colours but it's also buildable to quite an opaque pink. Lovely and such a bargain at £2.99!
Next is the Elf Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint, I was sent this as part of the 'Elf Loves' promotion where if you spend £25 they send you a goodie bag of make up. The colour again, is very sheer and doesn't show up much on your lips but I think the product itself is lovely it glides on your lips really easily (kind of like lip balm) and the added SPF makes it perfect for protecting your lips in summer! I'll definitely be buying another one of these in a darker shade.
And lastly is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous which is a really pretty bold coral colour. I've never worn coral before as I always thought it looked quite silly having orange lips however I bought this on a whim one day and I absolutely love it! The colours not too bright so it doesn't look ridiculous at all and it literally lasts all day on your lips, its a brilliant little product, especially if you have dry lips.

Let me know what your favourite summer lipsticks are!
Thank you for reading :)

First OOTD!

Hey guys.

My first ever outfit post, Scary! I went to the Trafford Centre on Monday with my boyfriend as I haven't been in over a year and kinda missed the place (now I remember why I didn't go, too many angry women with buggies!) For those of you who don't know, the Trafford Centre is just a big Shopping Centre in Manchester, nothing too exciting. Anyway this is what I wore;

1// Dress - Topshop £26 2// Parka - Topshop £60 3// Belt - Primark £3
4// Socks - Topshop - £3.50 5// Boots - New Look £59.99

I look soo awkward and my clothes are all messed up, but in my defence it's my first outfit of the day post. Suppose it takes a while to get used to posing in front of a camera. Promise I'll try harder next time ha! It was a pretty cold day so I layered the dress up a bit with some Opaque tights and my big Parka jacket. The boots are my fave purchase of this year, they look good with literally everything and are sooo comfy! Also think they'll look great in the summer with pretty dresses and some light coloured socks.

We went for lunch at Gourmet Burger which was yummy but I forgot to get a picture (still not used to this blogging malarky) however I managed to snap a picture of my boyfriend looking unnaturally happy about getting a sprite.

**His shirt is Pretty Green for anyone who's interested

Please comment and let me know if my post was awful or not and what I need to improve on, would help me out loads!

P.s Will put up my Trafford Centre haul up ASAP

My Favourite Summer Lipsticks

The weather these past few days has been gorgeous so I've been digging out my floral dresses and sandals and attempting to look girly. As I've been getting ready I've noticed I'm seriously lacking in pink lipsticks/glosses, more than lacking actually I've never bought one. So naturally I went on a hunt round town and decided on these two:

My photo's really don't do the colours any justice I'm afraid. The Topshop lipstick is a really bright neon-ish pink and would be great to wear on a night out. It glides onto your lips really easily and stays on your lips for a long time before it needs reapplying, I love it and its such a bargain for £8.
The only way I describe the colour of the Natural Collection Lipstick is kind of a dirty pink, the doesn't sound very nice but honestly the colour is lovely and very subtle. It would look brilliant as an 'every day' lipstick as it's a very natural colour. The only problem with this lip stick is it doesnt stay on your lips for very long, it need's reapplying at least every hour. However, for £1.99 I cant really complain.

What are your favourite summer lipsticks?

Motel Wispa Cut Out Dress £45 / Cambridge Satchel £100 / Jefferey Campbell Litas £120 / Topshop Frilly Socks £3.50 / Disney Couture Bangles £70 (Similar £25) / Boohoo Studded Headband £4.00 / Essie Nail Polish in Lovie Dovie £7.99 / Bowie Belt £20

Hello hello! This is my entry for the Stylist Task - 'Dusk til dawn in Motel'. Im getting in a really summery mood at the moment so I thought I'd make a summery night time outfit. Monochrome is really in at the minute but I've not been a fan so far, I always feel like I'm dressed for work or an interview when I'm wearing no colour. Anyway, I spotted this black and white dotty dress on motelrocks.com and absolutely fell in love with it. It's so pretty and floaty and summery! However I couldn't bear the thought of wearing it as a full monochrome outfit so added some bits of pink in there. I think it makes a very cute night time outfit, but you could also dress it down by putting on a pair of flats and maybe a denim jacket! Hope you like it!

If you've entered, please send me the link to your entries :)

Wishlist...

Things I'm saving for...

Hi again!

So it's been a while since I posted anything, I've had a lot of Uni deadlines in the last few weeks but the majority of them are done so hopefully I'll get into the swing of things. Anyway I thought I'd do a wishlist, I've got my eye on a lot of things at the minute so I'm gonna have to get saving!
- This has to be the poorest attempt at a wishlist and I do apologise, I'm new to Polyvore!

1. Dr Martens Caryn Shoe - I think these would look so cute in the summer with a pair of white frilly socks and a girly dress loveeeee them!
2. Ted Baker Bow Shopper Bag - I've just wanted one of these for ages, they're really handy because they're big enough to put all of your Uni stuff in, but they look really pretty at the same time!
3. Topshop Oversize grey check shirt - Good as a top to keep you warm in the winter, also good to use as a jacket in the spring/summer.
4. River Island Acid wash shorts - Basic Pair of denim shorts, everyone needs a pair of these!
5. Topshop bowler hat - Think these look really nice with a grungy dress and a pair of biker boots/heels.
7. Motel Pow dress - Pop art is coming back in fashion for s/s this year, this would look really cute either dressed up or down!
8. Topshop pink tye dye socks - I think would look cute with my black converse.
9. Motel Smoke skater dress - I've actually just bought this so I'll do an outfit post as soon as it arrives :)
10. River Island aztec print skirt - Again, think would look really pretty in the summer, could tram with the bowler hat :)
12. Motel Doesn't sell these anymore but I'm determined to find them :(

Thanks for reading :)
